Less is a beautifully written story that feels both light… and unexpectedly deep.

Arthur Less is about to turn 50. He’s a writer—not unsuccessful, but not quite successful either . And now, the man he once loved is getting married.

So instead of facing it…he runs.

Accepting a series of literary invitations around the world, Less sets off on a journey that seems glamorous on the surface—Paris, Berlin, Morocco, Japan…

But this is not a story about escape. It’s a story about what follows you.

Through humor, awkward moments, quiet realizations, and a touch of absurdity, the novel gently explores:

👉 what it means to grow older👉 what it means to feel “not enough”👉 and what it means to finally accept yourself

There is a softness to this story. A kind honesty.

It doesn’t shout its message—it lets it unfold slowly, with grace and humor.

Because sometimes, the things we try to avoid…

These are exactly what lead us back to who we are.
